Since being established in 2000, SDM group has built a diversified range of business activities focused on the use of materials from the recycling of end of live vehicles (ELV). Today, SDM group is a key international and borderless player in spent automotive catalytic converter recycling, Aluminum ingot & die-cast product manufacturing, scrap copper & stainless steel trading, and management of end of live vehicles (ELV). We've worked very hard to earn reputation in the recycling industry as well as the financial institutions. Today, Sandomet, the first company in SDM group is the largest spent catalytic converter recycler in Southeast Asia. U-Guan Autoparts, established in 2002 and now is one of the largest trading company in re-useable automotive engines & parts worldwide. Fook Ching Co. Ltd., Japan and Sino Pgm Ltd., Hong Kong and close to its home-base in Malaysia, SDM Smelting, SDM Casting. U-Guan Trading, SDM Motorsport, Hakata Auto, Shine Motor are also prominently known as a key players of their field of industries.

The global economic downtown, began in the second half of 2008 triggered unprecedented decline in all commodities prices and collapse in demand from end users. SDM group was confronted with the challenge of preserving our assets & future. We adopted a holistic response to this situation by initiating various actions to reduce cost, improve efficiency and preserve liquidity. In 2009, the global economy has experienced a gradual recovery path. SDM group's performance was affected during the crisis but made a strong come back in the second half of 2009 in tandem with the pave of economy recovery and the efforts taken during the downturn. The initiatives undertaken during the crisis have strengthened the group's fundamentals.

Today, I had never been so proud to mention that we are still continuing the business growth. One of the key factors contributing to the group's sustainability is the disciplined financial management. This good management system is essential to ensure long-term success for SDM group. We relentlessly pursue this good management system and continual improvement in everything we do, every day.
